All banks in India run under the supervision of Reserve Bank of India. Indian banks are broadly classified into three categories commercial banks, Co-operative banks and Regional rural banks. Indian banks extended their roots in all over the world. Competition has been increased among the banks due to globalization, that’s why, banks are doing slog over to make their customers happy. To make banking easier for customers many banks have introduced vast range of services for example; Varieties of cards, Internet banking, Mobile Banking, SMS banking etc. Furthermore, some banks have launched missed call service to check account balance. With the help of missed call banking service customers can get their account balances and account statements on their mobile phones by SMS. Please Note: Customers who have registered their mobile numbers with their home bank branches can avail this service. Therefore, if you have not registered your mobile number with your bank then first go to your home bank branch and link your mobile number with your account.
Important: To use missed call banking service of some banks, you have to activate it first, therefore, for those banks, I have written separate posts. I have provided links in blue color for such banks, you can click on those links to read in detail.

Allahabad bank

Allahabad bank is an Indian nationalized bank and has approximately 3k branches in all over in India. Not long ago, it has introduced missed call banking facility; through which customers can know their account balance by giving a missed call. To avail missed call banking facility, customer's mobile number should be linked with his/her account. If you've already done it then just give a missed call on 09224150150 to check your account balance.

Andhra Bank

Andhra bank has launched account balance inquiry number for customers who have registered their mobile numbers with the bank. Just give a call to 09223011300 from your registered mobile number; call will disconnected automatically and you'll receive an SMS showing you, your account balance.

Axis Bank

Axis bank is on the forefront of adopting digital banking solutions to provide hassle free and convenient banking services to their customers. Recently, Axis bank has introduced a new service called as toll "Free Axis dial". Through this service, you can check your account balance and mini-statement; to check account balance use <1800-419-5959 and to get mini-statement use 1800-419-6969.

Bank of Baroda

Bank of Baroda is a renowned Indian Bank. BOB has recently launched a new service for its customers (missed call service); through which, customers can check their account balance by giving a missed call on predefined number. Give a missed call on this number 09223011311 from your registered mobile number.

Bank of India

It is a Government owned bank. Bank of India has recently launched missed call service for its customers. Now, BOI customers can check their balance through missed call. To check your BOI account balance just give a missed call on 09015135135. You can activate mobile banking of BOI to do online recharge, to pay your bills, to book air, bus or train tickets etc. To activate BOI mobile banking service Click Here.

Bank of Maharashtra

Bank of Maharashtra is a well-known public sector bank in India and has more than 1.8k branches in all over India to provide high quality banking services. To check your account balance through missed call, just give a missed call on 92222-81818 from your registered mobile number.

Bharatiya Mahila Bank

First of all, send following message "REG(space)your account number" and send it to 9212438888 from your mobile. After getting successful activation message, just give a missed call to 9212438888 from your registered mobile number, soon, you’ll receive an SMS on your mobile.

Canara Bank

Give a missed call to 09015483483 from your mobile number to know your account balance through missed call. To get the details of last five transactions use following 09015734734 missed call alert number.

Central Bank of India

To enhance customers' banking experience, Central bank of India has launched several value added services; one of them is "missed call banking". It allows customers to know their accounts information anywhere, anytime. Just dial 095551-44441 and give a missed call, you will soon receive an SMS of your account balance on your registered mobile number.

City Union Bank

City Union Bank ha launched missed call banking number. Dial 9278177444 and give a missed call; instantly, you'll receive your account balance details through SMS.

Corporation Bank

Corporation bank has introduced missed call banking facility for domestic as well as for overseas customers. Just give a call on 092897-92897(For domestic customers) or +9192198-92198 (For overseas customers) to know your account balance.

Dena Bank

Development Credit Bank

Development Credit Bank has introduced a fresh service called missed call banking. Use following numbers to access MCB from your registered mobile number;7506660011 (Balance Enquiry), 7506660022 (Mini-statement).

Dhanlaxmi Bank

Dhanlaxmi Bank launched missed call banking numbers for its customers to provide them hassle free and convenient banking services. To know your account information through MCB, use following numbers +91806774700 (for account balance) and +918067747711 (to get last 3 months e-statement of your account in your mail-box).

Federal Bank

Send an SMS to 9895088888 in following format from your registered mobile number "ACTBAL(space)Your a/c number". After getting activation message, give a missed call on 8431900900 (to get the balance) or 8431900600 (to get the mini-statement).

HDFC Bank

Call1800-270-3333 from your registered mobile number to get your account balance through SMS. You may also use 1800-270-3355 to get mini-statement on your mobile number.

IDBI Bank

IDBI bank has recently launched "Toll Free Banking" service for its customers. Now, customers of IDBI bank can check their account balances and mini-statements by simply giving a missed call to toll free numbers. Dial 1800-843-1122 for account balance and 1800-843-1133 for mini-statement.

Indian Bank

Just dial 092895-92895 to know your account balance.

Indian Overseas bank

Karnataka Bank

Karnataka Bank customers can give a missed call to 1800-425-1445 for balance inquiry and 1800-425-1446 for mini-statement. After giving a missed call on mentioned numbers, instantly, you'll receive an SMS of your account balance on your registered mobile number.

Karur Vysya Bank

If you've linked your mobile number with your home bank branch then you can avail missed call banking service of karur Vysya bank. Just give a missed call to 09266292666 for balance enquiry or 09266292665 for mini-statement.

Kotak Mahindra Bank

Few months back, Kotak Mahindra bank has introduced "Insta Balance Service"; customers can use this service to perform non-transactional banking. To check your account balance through a call, just give a call on toll-free number 1800-274-0110 from your registered mobile number and wait for a message confirmation. After hearing a successful message confirming request; instantly, you’ll receive an SMS with your account(s) balance.

Oriental Bank of Commerce

Oriental bank of Commerce is one of the oldest public sector bank of India. OBC has been launching many value added services for its customers for example; internet banking, mobile banking, SMS banking etc. OBC has also launched missed call banking numbers to perform non-transactional banking activities for example; balance enquiry, mini statement etc. For balance enquiry customer can give a missed call on 08067205757 from his/her registered mobile number to get an SMS of account balance.

Punjab & Sind bank

Punjab National Bank

Punjab National Bank has 6k plus branches in India; which makes it the fourth largest bank of India. As we discussed earlier customers, who have registered their mobile number with their respective bank branch can avail this service. It is an associate bank of State bank Group. To check SBP balance through missed call, you have to register for missed call banking service of SBP. State Bank of Travancore (SBT) is an associate bank of the state bank of India; and a member of state bank group. State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur

It is also an associate bank of State bank Group. To check SBH balance through missed call, you have to register for missed call banking service of SBH. Syndicate Bank

Union Bank of India

Missed call banking number of Union Bank of India is 0922300858. United Bank of India

Vijaya Bank

Yes Bank
