How to check State Bank of India Account Balance through Mobile

State Bank of India is one of the renowned banks of India. It has fourteen thousand branches (approximately) in all over India. SBI provides vast range of facilities to its customers like; internet banking, mobile banking, loans,credit cards etc. With the help of Internet banking and Mobile Banking, we can check our accounts details directly from our home. Moreover, we can perform some account activities like; fund transfer, mini statement, mobile top up recharge, Dth recharge, bill payment etc.To avail all these services firstly you have to activate either mobile banking or internet banking service of SBI.

Internet banking and Mobile banking are different services. Internet Banking is related to internet you have to access internet to perform your account related activities like; mini statement, fund transfer etc. Whereas, Mobile Banking is related to mobile phones (you may use mobile app to use mobile banking or you can send sms to use mobile banking). Before starting, I would like to tell you that you can only activate mobile banking or missed call banking if you have registered your mobile number with your SBI bank branch. These services only can be activated on your registered mobile number therefore if you have not registered your mobile number with your SBI bank branch then register it with your respective bank branch before proceeding.

How to check State Bank of India account balance through missed call

  • You have to activate Missed Call Banking service of SBI to check your account balance through missed call. 
  • Send following text message "REG(space)Your Account Number" from your registered mobile number to 092234-88888 e.g.- REG 31*********.
  • After receiving service activation message give a missed call to 092237-666666.

How to check State Bank of India account balance through mobile banking

Note: Standard SMS charges are applicable.
Step 1: First of all, register your mobile number with your respective SBI bank branch.To do this you have to visit State Bank of India branch where you have opened your account.
Note: Step 1 is only for those who have not registered their mobile numbers with their bank branches. If you have already registered your mobile number with your respective SBI bank branch then skip step one and proceed to next step.
Step 2: To activate mobile banking on your registered mobile number send following SMS to 9223440000
Type: MBSREG and send it to 9223440000.
After some time you will get a mobile banking User id and MPIN on your phone.
Step 3: After getting mobile banking User id and MPIN on your mobile number next step is to change your default MPIN. It is mandatory to change default mpin. To change existing mpin
Type SMPIN(space)User id(space)Old Mpin(space)New Mpin and send it to 9223440000
For example; let's suppose my user id is xxxxxx and default mpin is oooooo.I want to set my new mpin 111111 then to change my mpin i will send this message to 9223440000
SMPIN xxxxxx oooooo 111111
Step 4: After some time you will get a successful mpin changed sms. Now next step is to accept term and conditions of using mobile banking. It would be better for you to read terms and conditions of using SBI mobile banking service before sending this sms. You can read terms and conditions of using mobile banking by visiting SBI official website www.sbi.co.in. After reading term and conditions carefully send following message
SACCEPT(space)User id(space)Mpin and send it to 9223440000
Step 5: After sending above message to 9223440000 you will get a successful handset validation sms from SBI. Now to perform next step you have to visit your nearest SBI ATM or you have to visit your respective bank branch. You can opt either option to activate mobile banking. You may go to your bank branch to complete remaining registration process or you may go to nearest ATM to complete remaining registration process. To complete registration by visiting nearest atm follow these steps:-
  • Go to your nearest ATM
  • Swipe your ATM cum debit card as usual you do to withdraw cash.
  • After swiping card select Mobile registration
  • Enter your atm pin
  • You will see two or more options select Mobile banking from them
  • Now enter your Mobile Number
  • Re-enter your mobile number
  • Check mobile number is correct or not. If not then press cancel and repeat the process again
  • Now press Confirm.
After getting successful registration message,  you can use all mobile banking related services. Now use following keywords for different operations.

To Check SBI Account Balance:

  • Type SBAL(space)User id(space)MPIN send it to 9223440000 e.g.- SBAL xxxxxx 111111
  • In short time, you will get a message showing your account balance.

For SBI Mini Statement:

  • You can get last five transactions detail.
  • Type SMIN(space)User id(space)MPIN send it to 9223440000 e.g.- SMIN xxxxxx 111111

For Mobile Top up:

  • Type STOPUP(space)User id(space)MPIN(space)Service provider name(space)Mobile Number(space)Recharge Amount send it to 9223440000 e.g.- STOPUP xxxxxx 111111 AIRTEL 94xxxxxxxx 100

For DTH recharge/topup:
